Moon, Jupiter and Galilean moons

Luna Giove e Satelliti Medicei

I was inspired by this amazing photo by Abe Megahed seen on the Universe Today blog.
When I saw the Moon and Jupiter rising together, I mounted my Sony Alpha 700 with a Minolta 100-300xi on the tripod on the balcony.
Unfortunately, the weather conditions were excellent, and it was impossible to have the right exposure for both the Moon and Jupiter.
I took two photos, one of the Moon (1/50 f/7.1 ISO200) and the other of Jupiter (1sec f/5.6 ISO200), with different exposure settings. I merged the two images maintaining the exact position of the two bodies.

The four Galilean moons are, from left to right, Callisto, Ganimede, Io and Europa.
